Our avant range is at the forefront of contemporary design brilliance, inspirationally combining traditional materials with the latest in hi-tech. High quality Teak, Stainless Steel, Textilene™, Granite, Glass and Woven fibre interplay to create an exquisite collection of sleek furniture equally versatile for use indoors, on the patio, or in the garden, providing the ultimate pleasure in lifestyle experiences for years to come. For the 2011 season our range will also have chairs made using leather, suitable also for use outside.

The Avant Range was first launched in 2000 and has become our best selling designer collection with 45 pieces of precision engineered furniture of outstanding quality.

The frames are made with grade 304 stainless steel and there is a wide selection of different materials that complete the furniture, such as; FSC Teak, sand blasted granite, glass, Trespa compact laminate, textilene mesh fabric and, new for this season, Moccacino coloured Viro synthetic rattan, used for hand weaving the A Class dining set and sun chair.

Stainless steel contains chromium to form a passive film of chromium oxide, which prevents surface corrosion and prevents it from spreading into the metal's internal structure, making it the ideal metal to use outdoors.

FSC Teak is the perfect hardwood to complement the stainless steel frames. It is yellowish brown in colour when new and turns a distinguished silver grey with age. Its high oil content gives it a naturally silky finish which has high resistance to extreme weather conditions making it the most durable timber with a lifespan of 25 years plus.

Textilene is used as seat and back slings on the chairs, recliners and sunloungers. It is a tough durable synthetic fabric made of PVC coated polyester. It has specially formulated yarns developed to withstand UV fading, mildew and the most severe weather conditions. We have a superb choice of five colours to choose from; black, white, taupe, metallic silver and copper.

This season sees the introduction of sand blasted grey granite table tops and glass tops in white and taupe, which keeps the Avant collection at the forefront of fashion and market trends.
