LAMPE BERGER. What is it? How does it work? In simple terms without getting too technical, it is the most effective lamp on the market for perfuming your home, it runs on perfume, it takes 20 minutes approx to fill the house with perfume and France launch new fabulous pefumes all through the year, according to the seasons. You pour your perfume into the lamp approx 1/2 full, then you drop the stone which is attatched to the wick into the bottle, and light the stone, it will take around 2 to 3 minutes for the stone to soak the perfume up and then you BLOW out the flame. At this point the lamp will diffuse perfume into the air and kill 67% of the air born bacteria. It was designed in France in 1898 and is still a household product used daily in France. It will stop animal smells, cooking smells, smoking and damp smells immediately, you should only need to diffuse the lamp for about 20 minutes and the perfume lingers for hours. If you have guests coming or if you are selling your home, Lamp Berger is a must. It comes in a super box with a pouch, wick, and full instructions. The wick should last you about 2 years and replacement are available. One bottle of 500ml perfume will last 22 hours burning time. |

Our money pots have been traditionally used in Italy for over 2000 years and their hand thrown design has remained unchanged. The British Museum houses examples of these ancient money pots.
Once the first coin is dropped the money pot must be fed until full upon which time it must be smashed whilst making a wish. It is customary to replace the pot and spend the money on 'good things', they bring good fortune.
Money pots are sometimes used to house a candle or a plant once smashed. The best way to break your money pot is to get a chisel or the back of a hammer and place it inside the money slot - slowly lever the top and you should be able to pop the top off - you can now use the money pots to house a plant, sweets or pens.
Terramundi money pots are hand thrown in Italy and hand painted in London. They stand between 17cms and 19cms in height.
Each money pot contains a separate fortune card. Money pots hold approximately £200 in mixed silver. |
Willow Tree by Demdaco
Willow Tree symbolizes that which is gestural, beckoning and romantic. The angels are rendered so as to reveal their expressions through body gestures only a tilt of the head, placement of the hands, a turn of the body. The absence of facial features contributes to the quiet and modest design. Emotions and feelings are left to the viewer to discern, which makes them very personal and powerful.

These sculptures were originally created over 40 years ago at the famous Cmielow porcelain factory in Poland. Both the original artists and their work have become famous and are highly sought after by collectors. A fire in the 1960's closed the factory but some of the original moulds were recently salvaged and production has recommenced. Each sculpture is made using the finest quality porcelain and is marked with the official Cmielow design, the year of production and its number in that year. In addition each piece is supplied with its own certificate giving information including the Polish name, the sculptor's name and the year it was originally designed. We think that these retro pieces, with strong 50's and Art Deco influences will be collected and valued by generations to come.
